Material and size come first. A standard latex balloon is inexpensive, a chrome or confetti one costs more to produce, a licensed foil character carries a licence fee, and a giant 36-inch latex or a large supershape sits well above both. Size compounds this, because a larger balloon costs more to buy and consumes far more gas.

Helium is the factor people underestimate. It is a finite imported resource, and consumption scales with volume rather than with the number of balloons, so one giant balloon can use as much gas as a whole cluster of small ones. This is also why air-filled garlands are noticeably cheaper than helium sets of the same visual size.

The rest is what we do to the balloon. HiFloat treatment, custom printing, vinyl lettering and gift wrapping all add cost, and above all so does labour. An organic garland or an arch is hours of hand assembly, and an installation adds travel, setup and often dismantling on site. Seasonal peaks around National Day, Valentine and graduation season also tighten availability and lead times.

  • Material and finish: plain latex, chrome, confetti, foil, licensed designs
  • Size, since larger balloons cost more and consume far more helium
  • Air-filled construction is cheaper than the same look in helium
  • Extras: HiFloat, printing, vinyl lettering, packaging and accessories
  • Assembly and installation labour, which dominates the price of large decor

Similar questions

Are balloons safe for kids?

Inflated balloons are safe at a children’s party if an adult is in the room. Uninflated or burst latex must be cleared immediately: pieces are a choking hazard for children under eight.

What happens if the recipient is not at home?

The courier calls the number you left and waits a short time. With your permission the set can be handed to reception, security or a neighbour. If nobody can take it, we agree a new slot or bring the balloons back.

More

What should I do if the balloons burst after the courier left?

Photograph the balloons as soon as it happens and send the picture to the operator. Balloons that were intact at handover usually burst from heat, a ceiling fan or a slammed door, but if it looks like a defect we replace them.

What languages do your operators/managers speak?

We work in three languages: English, Russian and Arabic. The site itself has all three versions, and the same team answers in the chat, on Instagram @bemyballoon and on WhatsApp at +971 58-531-1583.

What advice can you provide on choosing balloons?

Yes, and it takes two minutes. Tell the operator the occasion, the recipient’s age, preferred colours, where the set will stand and roughly the budget, and we propose a composition instead of leaving you to guess.

More

Are the balloons inflated upon delivery or do they arrive inflated immediately?

Helium balloons arrive already inflated, weighted and tied — the courier hands over a finished set. The only exception is an installation such as an arch or a photo zone, which is assembled on site by our team.

More

How many balloons can fit in a car?

An ordinary sedan carries about 20 to 40 inflated 11-inch latex balloons, or one generous bouquet with a foil figure. Ceiling sets, arches and columns need a van, so we bring large orders in our own vehicles.

More

Is it possible to inflate my balloons?

Yes. Filling balloons you already own is a separate service: bring them to our warehouse in Al Quoz at an agreed time and we will inflate them with helium or air, tie ribbons and fit weights.

More

What is HiFloat for?

HiFloat is a gel we coat inside latex helium balloons. It seals the pores of the rubber so helium escapes more slowly and the balloon stays up for one to three days instead of one evening.

More

Do you use balloons made of organic materials?

Latex balloons are made of natural rubber and do biodegrade, but no balloon is certified organic in the food sense, and foil is plastic. We reduce impact by reusing and disposing properly.

More

Do you participate in collaborations with bloggers and well-known brands?

Yes, we collaborate with photographers, hotels, restaurants and corporate brands, and we review influencer proposals case by case. A clear brief with dates and format gets a faster answer.

More

Do you do charity work?

We consider charitable and community requests individually rather than running a fixed programme. Send the details of the initiative and the team will look at what we can realistically support.

More

How high will the helium balloon fly?

Indoors it rises to the ceiling and stops. Released outdoors it climbs until falling air pressure expands it beyond bursting point, typically several kilometres up, then falls back as litter.

More

If you order gel balloons, what will be their lifting force?

Lift follows volume, not price. An 11-inch latex balloon carries roughly 10 to 14 grams, a 24-inch one about 80 to 100 grams, and flat foil numbers lift little beyond themselves.

More

Is it possible to use smoke for gender parties in the UAE?

In most venues, no. UAE hotels and event spaces widely prohibit coloured smoke and powder because of fire detection and staining, so a balloon or confetti reveal is the practical alternative.

More

What are the advantages of balloons over other decorative elements?

Balloons cover more volume per dirham than any other decor, go up and come down within hours, adapt to any colour scheme, and leave no marks on walls or ceilings.

More

How long does it take to inflate a balloon with helium?

One latex balloon takes a few seconds on a professional regulator and a foil number under half a minute, but tying, ribbons and weights mean a set of fifty takes around half an hour.

More

What technologies are used in the manufacture of balloons to increase their durability?

On the factory side: even wall thickness, heat-sealed seams, self-sealing valves and stable pigments. On our side: HiFloat coating, double-stuffed latex and air-filled frame construction.

More

Why do helium balloons have different prices?

Even at the same size, price differs by finish, licensed artwork, how much helium the balloon holds, and whether HiFloat, printing or extra accessories have been added.

More

Do you have a retail store?

We do not run a walk-in retail shop. The catalogue is online, and orders can either be delivered or collected from our warehouse in Al Quoz Industrial 2 at an agreed time.
